WASHINGTON (June 19) -- Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has had successful surgery to repair a fractured right elbow, the State Department said Friday.
Clinton injured herself in a fall at the State Department on Wednesday.
The department said Clinton had surgery Friday morning at The George Washington University Hospital and then returned to her Washington home.
Doctors told her she is expected to recover without lasting damage to her arm.
